학과소개
영남대학교 대학원 경영학과는 기업, 사회 및 정부 단체와 기관, 고등교육기관에서 필요로 하는 전문인력을 양성한다. 경영학과에서는 인사조직, 생산운영관리, 재무금융, 마케팅, 경영정보관리의 5개 전공분야로 구분하여 경영학석사(M.A.)와 경영학박사(Ph.D.)를 수여한다.
경영학 석사과정은 기업과 비영리 단체 혹은 기관에서 전문인력으로 근무하기를 계획하거나 박사과정으로 진학을 희망하는 학부 졸업생을 위한 프로그램이다.
경영학 박사과정은 대학교수 혹은 연구기관의 전문연구원이 되고자 하는 석사 졸업생을 위한 프로그램이다. 경영학 박사학위는 전공분야에서의 포괄적이고 깊이 있는 지식뿐만 아니라 경영학 분야의 고등지식 습득을 위한 연구방법론과 통계기법을 요구한다.
대학원 경영학과의 교육목표는 다음과 같다.

Introduction
The Department of Business Administration at the Graduate School of Yeungnam University is dedicated to educating the business leaders of tomorrow while creating knowledge of critical significance for industry and society. The Department offers M.A. and Ph.D. in Business Administration in five major fields: Personal / Organizational Management, Production / Operations Management, Finance, Marketing, and Management Information System. The MA programs are designed for graduates who intend to pursue a Ph.D. degree or work for a profit-oriented or nonprofit-oriented organization as a professional.
The Ph.D. programs are provided for those who have earned their MA degrees and who want to become a professor at a university or a professional researcher at a research institution. The Ph.D. degree requires not only comprehensive and in-depth knowledge in the major field but also research methodology and statistical techniques to acquire high-level of knowledge in business administration.
